Construction and Cutting Grass

Here are a few pictures from the construction going on out at the land where the future home of the Living Hope Community is located. Here is a picture of the inside of the dorm and the inner walls beginning to go up.

This is the bodega or the warehouse.  It will be the temporary kitchen, laundry, printing press, and workshop.

This is the outside of the dorm.  It's really coming along.

You may have wondered about the title "Cutting Grass."  Well, this is the second time in a week that someone in our neighborhood has chosen to "cut" their grass by burning it.  The first time it was so bad, the wind was blowing in the direction of our house and for the rest of the day, our house smelled like we had a fire in it.  I really thought that it may be a house on fire.  The smoke was so thick, you couldn't see down the street.  At least it wasn't someone burning plastic this time.
