Small Groups at our Christmas Tree Lot

What do you like to do on a cold windy night? Do you like to sit at home with a good book by the fire drinking hot cocoa or a hot cup of coffee? Do you like to curl up on the couch with a blanket and a good movie? Well tonight, one of our small home groups at East Hill spent their night volunteering at the tree lot. With the wind blowing hard and the temperatures in the thirties, this team brought dinner to the tree lot and had a great time of fellowship and fun together! To let you know how windy it was, the awning in the picture below is well anchored to the ground at the outer four corners but the center eight poles were not. The awning was lifting off the ground at the center poles. So, some of the men went to work at securing it down better so it wouldn't end up blowing away. It is awesome to have great volunteers to help us out. We couldn't do this without them. This group is signed up again for next Thursday night too. Hopefully, it will be a little warmer.
