Erin Made Team

Last Saturday Erin went to gymnastics for a make up lesson. She was invited to come and go through the testing for pre-team which she was already a part of. We found out last night that she got 87% on all the skills which was very good. Apparently, she needed 80% to be able to join Team at level 4 where they start competing. So, we decided to let her join and the Training Center is allowing her to start now because we will be leaving in April. Normally the do not allow new members to join until the spring. The possibility even exists (if we choose to let her) to compete in one meet before our move to Mexico. This is somethings she has wanted for a while now so it is good to see her be able to do this. For those of you who think we keep a busy schedule already, she will now be going to gymnastics on Monday, Thursday and Friday from 4:00 to 7:30. That's a commitment.

When she was at practice last night, they were doing round off back hand springs. The coach asked if she needed a spotter and she said that she could do it on her own. Well, she did it, on her own with no help! As she got more tired, she had a spotter but it was so cool to watch her accomplish that. I am so glad that she is able to take this time to advance because she really is good at it. It also is a good discipline practice for her.
